What You'll See

Expect to see forest dwelling species in the pine-oak forests of Campbell Mesa. Red-tailed hawks, squirrels, elk, deer, and coyote are common residents. You may also catch a glimpse of a hunting osprey or traveling geese as they visit the neighboring Country Club ponds. Northern goshawks have been seen here. Wood ducks have been seen on the nearby community ponds. Several looping trails provide options for a quick stroll or a long excursion.

Getting There

Take the Country Club exit from I-40, just east of town. After one mile, turn left on the 303 Road (Old Walnut Canyon Rd) and look for the parking area on your left.
