About

Kendrick Park is approximately 2,000 acres owned by the US Forest Service. In partnership with many agencies and local groups, the Forest developed two loop trails (totaling 1.5 miles) with interpretive signs to describe the animals, habitats, and human influence visitors are likely to see. 

What You'll See

A variety of mammals can be seen here, including pronghorn, mule deer, elk, coyote, badger, and Albert's squirrel. Stellar's jay, mountain and western bluebirds, mountain chickadees, violet green swallow, hairy woodpecker, and red-tailed hawk are relatively easy to spot. Reptiles that may be encountered on a hike include eastern collared lizard, greater short-horned lizard, plateau lizard, and gopher snake. 

Getting There

Head north of town approximately 20 miles on Highway 180. Look for signs  on the west side of the highway that indicate a parking lot for Watchable Wildlife.
