The public is invited to participate in two community weed pulling events at Kachina Wetlands, one of the most beautiful places for water birds and people in the greater Flagstaff area. Participate in either event, or both of them. Let's make Kachina Wetlands weed free!
WHAT TO BRING: Suncreen, wide-brimmed hat, gloves, sunglasses, water. A shovel if you have one.
WHAT IS PROVIDED: Extra water, shovels, plastic bags, a few extra pairs of gloves. Watermelon and cookies for everyone who fills at least one plastic bag!
DIRECTIONS: Go south on I-17 to the Kachina Village Exit. Turn right at the bottom of the exit, then right again onto Tovar Trail and follow that north for 1.4 miles. When Tovar Trail ends, turn right into a dirt parking area. Kachina Wetlands is immediately to the north.
**Google maps incorrectly places Kachina Wetlands at Raymond Park, right off the Kachina Village Exit on I-17. If you are using a smart phone, the correct map location is 2375 Utility Road.
