Mormon Lake is a great spot to see birds. The past week or so, a pair of tundra swans has been hanging out in a pond at the southern end of Mormon Lake, visible from the road. This is a large, beautiful aquatic bird that is seen only infrequently in Coconino County, during the winter. Check ebird for the most recent sighting information on these visitors.
